Minestrone - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. Italian sausage
    1 c. diced onion
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 c. diced carrots
    1 tsp. basil
    2 small zucchini, sliced
    1 (1 lb.) can Italian tomatoes (undrained)
    2 (10 oz.) cans beef bouillon
    2 c. shredded cabbage
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 (1 lb.) can white kidney beans (undrained)
    1/2 c. rice
    1/2 c. red wine
Preparation
    Brown sausage in deep saucepan or Dutch oven.
    Add onion, garlic, carrots and basil; cook for 5 minutes.
    Add zucchini, tomatoes, bouillon, cabbage, salt and pepper.
    Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 1 hour.
    Add beans, rice and wine, then cook another 20 minutes or until rice is done.
    Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
