Raisin Bran Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. milk, scalded
1 c. all-bran cereal
2 Tbsp. shortening
2 Tbsp. light molasses
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. water
1 1/4 c. raisins
5 1/3 c. flour
Preparation

Stir scalded milk into cereal, shortening, molasses, sugar and salt.
Cool.
Dissolve dry yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
Steam raisins in 1/4 cup water over medium heat; drain.
Add 2 cups flour to bran mixture; beat vigorously by hand.
Stir in yeast. Add raisins and remaining flour until dough forms around spoon.
