Angel Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening (lard or Crisco)
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
Preparation
    Cream butter, shortening and sugar.
    Add other ingredients in order given.
    Roll into balls the size of a walnut and dip top in sugar.
    Place on cookie sheet, sugar side up.
    Bake at 375\u00b0
    for 8
    minutes.
    These cookies are very good.
    Don't overbake.\tDon't freeze.
