    2 c. dry beans (white, brown, navy or red)
    enough water to cover beans
    2 tsp. ginger
    2 tsp. meat tenderizer
Preparation
    Season to taste.
    Bacon or salt pork may be added during cooking or use cooking oil for reducing cholesterol.
