Sausage Kolache - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. active dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1 egg
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. cooking oil
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk, scalded
flour
32 small sausages
Preparation

Mix sugar, oil, salt and hot milk in large bowl.
When cooled to lukewarm, add beaten egg and yeast (dissolved in warm water). Add flour until dough is soft, but no longer sticky.
Knead on floured board; dough should be soft, not sticky.
Put dough in clean, lightly oiled bowl; cover with damp cloth and let rise in a warm place until double in size (about 1 1/2 hours).
Turn out on board.
Cut into 32 pieces.
Flatten each piece and roll around a sausage.
Place on greased cookie sheet and let rise about 1 hour or until double.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
