Ginger Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. solid vegetable shortening
    1 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    2 tsp. ground ginger
    1/2 to 1 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 to 1 c. chocolate bits
Preparation
    In a large mixing bowl, combine the shortening, brown sugar, egg, molasses, flour, baking soda, cloves, cinnamon and ginger; mix well.
    I also add nuts and chocolate.
    Roll dough into balls using 1 teaspoon of dough.
    Place balls on greased baking sheet. Flatten with the bottom of a glass dipped in white sugar.
    Bake in preheated 375\u00b0 oven for 8 minutes or until done.
