Batter Fried Fish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. shortening, melted
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg, separated
    1/2 c. warm water
    fish
    oil (for frying)
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
    Drop in the egg yolk.
    Add water and shortening.
    Mix.
    Fold in beaten egg white. Drop fish in the batter and fry in oil 4 to 6 minutes at 375\u00b0.
