Cherry Cobbler - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. soft butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. sifted flour
2 Tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. fruit juice
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1 (16 oz.) can cherries
1 c. cherry juice from can and add water if not enough juice from can
red food coloring (if desired)
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
Beat until smooth.
Pour into greased 10 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan or greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Spoon drained fruit over batter.
Mix sugar and juice and pour over the top.
Bake 45 to 50 minutes.
Serve warm with Cool Whip or ice cream.
