Cornbread Recipe - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cornmeal
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    8 tsp. baking powder
    2 eggs
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. soft shortening or Wesson oil or corn oil
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Add eggs, milk and shortening.
    Mix just until well blended.
    Make in greased pan at 450\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until light brown and cornbread leaves sides of pan.
    (If using for dressing, make ahead of time and let cool.)
