Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    5 egg yolks, save whites
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. coconut
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream butter and Crisco.
    Add sugar and beat until mixture is smooth.
    Add yolks and beat well.
    Combine flour and soda; add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk.
    Stir in vanilla and add coconut and chopped nuts.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Pour into 3 (9-inch) cake pans and bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
