Ingredients

2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. Crisco or oleo
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. crushed cornflakes
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. chopped maraschino cherries
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients.
Blend Crisco and sugar, then add eggs, milk and vanilla.
Blend in dry ingredients and gradually add nuts and cherries.
Drop by rounded teaspoons into crushed cornflakes. Place on a greased cookie sheet.
Top with 1/4 cherry if desired. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
