Herbed Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 ripe tomatoes, peeled and thickly sliced
    2/3 c. olive oil or safflower oil
    1 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. chopped green onions including green tops
    1/4 c. freshly chopped parsley
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. thyme
    1 clove garlic, crushed and chopped fine
    3 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Place sliced tomatoes in a large flat serving dish.
    Mix the remaining ingredients together and pour over tomatoes.
    Cover and refrigerate at least 6 hours.
