Quick Pickled Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans of beets
    1 cup vinegar
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup beet juice
    2 bay leaves (optional)
    1 cinnamon stick (optional)
    dash of salt
Preparation
    Drain beets and save 1 cup of juice.
    Bring sugar, vinegar and spices if used, to a boil.
    Cut up beets and add to liquid, bring to a boil again.
    Remove from heat.
    Store in refrigertor.
    Can be eaten after one day.
