Peanut Butter Crisscross Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. peanut butter
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. orange juice
Preparation
    Measure flour, soda, baking powder and salt into a sifter. Cream shortening and peanut butter with brown and granulated sugars until fluffy in a large bowl; beat in egg.
    Sift in flour mixture, adding alternately with orange juice and blending well to make a stiff dough.
    Chill until firm enough to handle.
    Roll dough a teaspoon at a time into balls.
    Place 3 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet; flatten, crisscross fashion with a fork. Bake 8 or 10 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Cool on racks.
