Hoe Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cornmeal
    1 tsp. salt
    hot water
Preparation
    Moisten cornmeal and salt with hot water and let stand 1 hour. Shape with hands into flat cakes, about 1/2-inch thick.
    Fry on hot greased griddle until brown.
    Turn and brown on other side. Serve hot with bacon and syrup.
    A delicious treat for breakfast.
