Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. white corn syrup
2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. water
1 lb. raw peanuts
2 Tbsp. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Combine syrup, sugar and water in saucepan.
Bring to a boil and boil to 230\u00b0 or until syrup spins thread, 15 to 20 minutes. Add peanuts and continue to cook to 300\u00b0 (15 to 20 minutes). Remove from heat and add butter, vanilla, soda and salt.
Stir until blended.
Turn into a well-greased jelly roll pan (15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch).
When cool, break into pieces.
Makes 1 1/2 pounds.
