Ingredients

1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1 c. Crisco
1 egg
1/2 tsp. soda
1 Tbsp. vanilla
2 c. self-rising flour
Preparation

Cream sugars and Crisco.
Add other ingredients and mix well. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Roll in balls about the size of a nickle.
Place on cookie sheet about 1 inch apart.
Press 1/2 pecan on each cookie.
Cook in 325\u00b0 oven until brown, about 12 minutes.
