Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 2/3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 c. light corn syrup
    2 egg whites
    2/3 c. pecans
Preparation
    Stir sugar, corn syrup and water over low heat until sugar is dissolved.
    Cook, without stirring, until small amount dropped in cold water forms a hard ball.
    In mixer, beat egg whites until stiff peak forms.
    Continue beating while pouring hot syrup in a thin stream into egg whites.
    Add vanilla and beat until mixture holds its shape.
    Fold in nuts.
