Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. softened butter
    1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Blend in egg and flavorings.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Stir in dry ingredients.
    Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours.
    Roll out to 3/16-inch thickness.
    Cut with floured cookie cutter.
    Sprinkle with sugar.
    Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Bake 7 to 8 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Makes 3 to 5 dozen.
