Ingredients

1/3 c. reduced calorie oleo
1/2 c. morsels of wheat bran cereal
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 egg
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1/3 c. shredded unsweetened coconut
Preparation

Melt oleo in medium saucepan over medium heat.
Add cereal. Cook 2 minutes, stir constantly.
Remove from heat; add brown sugar, vanilla and egg, stirring well.
Set aside cereal mixture. Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; add to cereal, stirring well. Spread into 8-inch square pan, coated with vegetable cooking spray. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Let cool and cut into 2-inch square bars.
Store in covered container in fridge.
Yields 16 bars.
