Grandma'S Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. shredded red cabbage
    2 medium apples, cubed
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients and cover pan tightly; steam until cabbage is tender, approximately 30 minutes.
