Jalapeno Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cornmeal
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. flour
    1 onion, chopped
    2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 lb. ground beef, browned
    1 can creamed corn
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 egg, beaten
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 jalapeno peppers, chopped
    1 envelope taco seasoning
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0. Sift dry ingredients together. Add egg, onion, corn, peppers and buttermilk; blend thoroughly.
    Combine beef and taco seasoning, then set aside. Heat skillet with 2 tablespoons oil until it smokes; pour excess oil into batter. Pour 1/2 of batter in skillet; spoon meat mixture over all, sprinkle with cheese, then pour remaining batter on top. Bake until done.
