Hot Water Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white cornmeal
    1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Combine cornmeal, flour, salt, sugar and baking powder together.
    Make hole in center of mixture.
    Gradually add boiling water, stirring constantly, until mixture is barely wet.
    Mix well. Use generous amounts of cooking oil in frying pan; place on burner at medium heat.
    Let oil get hot.
    Make pancakes of mixture and brown on both sides.
