Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. shredded coconut
1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Beat margarine, egg and vanilla.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt and add to first mixture.
Add dates, coconut and nuts. Form dough into two 1 1/2-inch rolls.
Wrap in wax paper and chill until firm.
Slice into 3/8-inch slices and place on lightly greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
Will keep in fridge for a month.
