Yellow Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    25 to 30 small to medium yellow squash, sliced thin
    4 to 6 green bell peppers
    6 large yellow onions
    1/2 c. salt
    5 c. white vinegar
    5 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1/2 tsp. powdered cloves
Preparation
    Chop peppers and onions; add to sliced squash.
    Mix salt with vegetables and let stand three hours.
    Drain.
