Mona Newbern'S Dill Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 qt. water
4 1/2 c. vinegar
1 1/2 c. pickling salt
dill seed
pepper pods
garlic cloves
Preparation
-
Wash and scald jars.
Fill half full with cucumbers.
Add 1 teaspoon of dill seed, 1 pod of pepper and 1 clove garlic; finish filling jars with cucumbers.
Pour brine (water, vinegar and salt) over cucumbers; seal.
Let cure for 3 weeks.
