Prune Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. cooking oil
    1 c. sugar
    1 or 2 eggs (unbeaten)
    1/2 c. sour or buttermilk
    3/4 c. cooked, chopped prunes
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
Preparation
    Sift flour with spices, soda and salt.
    Set to one side.
    Stir oil and sugar together; add eggs, one at a time and mix well.
    Add sour milk or buttermilk to oil, sugar and egg mixture.
    Add sifted flour to egg mixture, then prunes and nuts.
    Bake in a greased loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
    If you like frosting, rum flavored butter icing is perfect.
