Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. round steaks
    2 large onions, sliced
    2 large stalks celery
    6 large carrots, julienne sliced
    1 large can tomato sauce
    seasoned pepper
    seasoned meat tenderizer (Aldoph's; no m.s.g.)
    cooking oil
Preparation
    Sprinkle meat with pepper, meat tenderizer and then flour.
    Fry until lightly browned on medium-high heat.
    Place cooked meat in a large casserole dish.
    Layer onions, celery and carrots over meat. Then pour tomato sauce over all.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
    Serve with mashed potatoes, cooked peas and hot rolls.
