Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. yellow squash
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 to 3/4 c. grated cheese
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. pecans
    1 c. bread crumbs
    1 chopped onion
Preparation
    Cook squash and drain.
    Add all ingredients except bread crumbs and 1/4 cup cheese for topping; mix.
    Add bread crumbs and cheese and bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Feeds 8 to 10 people.
