Lucille'S Dinner Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cake yeast
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    1 3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. melted shortening
    3/4 c. lukewarm water
    3/4 c. milk, scalded and cooled
    5 to 5 1/4 c. flour
Preparation
    Soften yeast in cooled milk.
    Add salt, shortening, sugar and water.
    Add flour, a little at a time, mix well after each addition.
    Turn onto floured board and knead until smooth.
    Cover with warm damp towel.
    Let rise until double.
    Roll 1/3-inch thick. Cut into 2-inch circles.
    Crease middle with dull knife.
    Brush with butter; fold along crease.
    Place close together in well-greased baking sheet.
    Cover and let rise to treble size. Bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 to 18 minutes.
    Makes 24 rolls.
    You may use bread machine's dough cycle.
