Polly'S Hoagies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 loaf (1 lb.) French bread
    butter, softened
    1/2 c. hot pepper (optional)
    4 oz. sliced Swiss cheese
    1/2 lb. salami, thinly sliced
    2 c. shredded lettuce
    2 medium tomatoes, thinly sliced
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced
    1/2 lb. thinly sliced, fully cooked, smoked ham
    1/2 lb. thinly sliced, fully cooked turkey breast
    1 medium green pepper, thinly sliced
    1/4 c. bottled creamy Italian salad dressing
Preparation
    Cut bread horizontally into halves; spread bottom half with butter.
    Layer cheese, salami, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, ham, turkey breast and green pepper; put hot pepper on top with remaining half of bread.
    Secure loaf with 6 long wooden picks or small skewers.
    Cut into 6 pieces.
    Makes 6 servings.
