Date Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. dates, diced
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Bake in 3 greased (16 ounce) tin cans.
    (Interior of tin cans should be gold looking not silver.)
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
