Quick Buttermilk Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    2 1/2 c. sifted self-rising flour
    1 tsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    3/4 c. lukewarm buttermilk
Preparation
    In bowl, dissolve yeast in water.
    Add buttermilk, half the flour, sugar and shortening.
    Beat with spoon until smooth and batter
    falls
    in
    sheets from spoon.
    Using hands, mix in enough flour
    to clean bowl with dough.
    Turn out onto lightly floured board.
    Let rest 10 to 15 minutes.
    Knead until smooth and blistered.
    Shape
    as desired; let rise about 1 1/2 hours. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
