Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. active dry yeast
2 Tbsp. warm water
5 c. self-rising flour
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 c. shortening
2 c. milk
butter or margarine, melted
Preparation

Grease one 15x10x1 inch pan (13x9x2 and 9x9x2 will work) with melted butter or margarine.
Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Add to flour mixture stir with fork until moist.
Roll out 1/2 inch thick on floured surface. Cut with 2 inch cutter.
Place close together in prepared pans.
Cover with damp cloth and allow to rise one hour.
Bake in preheated 400\u00b0 oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until browned.
Brush tops with melted butter or margarine.
Serve while hot.
Makes 30 to 40 biscuits.
