Black Walnut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
4 eggs
3/4 c. shortening
2 c. flour
rounded tsp. soda
scant tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sour milk
1 c. chopped black walnuts
Preparation

Beat lightly together the sugar, eggs and shortening.
Mix together and add the flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt.
Add and mix in the milk and walnuts.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes in 13 x 9-inch pan.
