Old-Fashioned Chocolate Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine, softened
    1/2 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    3 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. baking cocoa
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Cream margarine, shortening and sugar in mixer bowl until fluffy.
    Add eggs 1 at a time, mixing well after each addition. Sift flour, baking powder, cocoa and salt together.
    Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, mixing well after each addition.
    Mix in vanilla.
    Spoon into greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    Remove to wire rack to cool. May bake in 3 layers if preferred.

    16 servings.
