Kentucky-Style Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    potatoes
    chopped onion (optional; dried minced onion can be used)
    salt and pepper
    milk
    grated cheese (optional)
    butter
Preparation
    Peel and slice raw potatoes (according to size of dish used; same for frying pan). Butter baking dish. Layer potatoes, salt, pepper and a bit of onion. Sprinkle with a bit of flour. Continue until dish is full.
    Heat milk (1 quart if large dish).
    Pour over potato dish.
    Can put grated cheese on top, if desired.
    Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
