Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour (non-rising is fine)
    1 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 or 3 mashed ripe bananas
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
    Cream together with electric mixer the shortening, sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
    Add mashed ripe bananas and walnuts to creamed mixture.
    Mix in dry ingredients.
    Grease and flour two loaf pans.
    Divide mixture in half.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
