Ingredients

4 doz. egg yolks
5 qt. milk
4 qt. cream
1 tsp. salt
8 Tbsp. vanilla
8 c. sugar
Preparation

Scald milk. Beat eggs until light. Add sugar gradually. Beat until light again. Add to milk and cook until foam leaves the top. COOL. Whip cream. Add when cool, also salt and vanilla. Put in ice cream freezer. Makes 4 gallons.
