Squash Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sliced yellow squash
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 c. water
    2 c. cornbread crumbs
    1 can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
    1/4 c. butter, melted
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Cook squash in water until tender.
    Drain and mash.
    Add remaining ingredients to squash and cook in greased 1 1/2-quart casserole at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Sprinkle cheese on top, if desired.
