Aunt Martha'S Raisin Drop Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. raisins, boiled and drained
    1 c. brown sugar and 1 c. white sugar or 2 c. brown sugar
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 eggs, beaten slightly
    1/2 c. sour milk or buttermilk
    1/2 c. nuts or coconut (can be omitted)
Preparation
    Mix sugars and shortening.
    Add beaten eggs and vanilla. Blend thoroughly. Sift all dry ingredients except soda and add to the sugar mixture. Dissolve soda in the milk and add to mixture. Mix until well blended.
    Add raisins, nuts, coconut, etc., and mix.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375\u00b0 until brown or done.
