Ingredients

1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter or oleo
1 c. salad oil
1 egg, beaten
1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. milk
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. quick oats
1 c. coconut (fine)
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream the sugars, butter and salad oil. Add eggs and milk. Sift flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture.
Fold in vanilla, oats, coconut and nuts. Drop from a teaspoon or roll into small balls on greased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
