Citric Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 oz. citric acid (purchase at drug store)
    7 c. sugar
    2 qt. boiling water
    1 large can pineapple juice
    1 small can frozen orange juice
    4 qt. cold water
    cherries (optional)
    pineapple (optional)
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over acid to dissolve.
    Add sugar, cold water and juice.
    Freeze to mush or frappe stage.
    Color if you wish.
