Old Fashion Apple Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large apples, peeled and sliced
    1 c. sugar, divided
    dash of cinnamon
    1/4 c. soft butter or margarine
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    dash of salt
    2/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Place sliced apples in greased casserole.
    Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup water and cinnamon.
    Combine 1/2 cup sugar with soft butter.
    Add and combine remaining ingredients; mix until cake batter consistency.
    Pour over apples.
    Do not stir.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
    Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
    Serves 8.
