Divinity Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. brown sugar
    1/2 c. water
    nuts or coconut
    1 egg white, beaten until it holds peak
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook sugar and water until it reaches hard ball stage, 260\u00b0, on candy thermometer. Pour over egg white, beating constantly. Beat until stiff.
    Fold in nuts and drop by spoonful on wax paper and cool.
