Southern Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. light brown sugar
    3/4 c. water
    4 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/4 c. soft butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecan halves
    1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Preparation
    Combine sugar and water in a saucepan.
    Cook and stir until sugar dissolves.
    Bring to a boil and cook 3 minutes.
    Gradually add hot syrup to the eggs, stirring constantly.
    Add butter and vanilla.
    Pour into pie shell; arrange pecan halves on filling. Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 1 hour or until pie is set.
    Cool.
