3 c. diced tomatoes
1 c. 1/4-inch cubed potatoes
1 c. slivered carrots
10 oz. frozen peas
10 oz. frozen green beans
1 Tbsp. chopped chives (dry)
1 Tbsp. cilantro (Spanish parsley)
1 Tbsp. regular dry parsley
1 c. finely diced celery
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. ground coriander
1/3 c. regular long grain rice
1/4 c. lentils
1/4 c. pearled barley
1/2 c. couscous (fine grained semolina)
Preparation

As the chicken is timing out on the boil, get out your trusty 8 to 10-quart soup pot.
Put about 3 quarts of water in it and put the heat on full (you are going to be adding so many ingredients that it won't boil right away).
Add ingredients to soup pot.
