Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (No. 2 1/2 size) cans pineapple tidbits, drained, reserve juice
    2 large bananas
    2 to 3 cans mandarin oranges, drained, reserve juice
    2 small jars maraschino cherries, drained
    walnuts to taste
    2 pkg. (3 oz.) vanilla pudding (not instant)
Preparation
    Mix juice of 2 cans oranges, 1 can plus 3 tablespoons pineapple juice and vanilla pudding.
    Cook until thickened.
    Cool.
    Mix all fruits and walnuts together and fold in pudding mixture.
