Butterscotch Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. light brown sugar
2 Tbsp. butter
pinch of salt
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/3 c. light cream
Preparation

Place sugar, butter, salt and corn syrup in heavy saucepan. Cook over very low heat, without stirring, until a soft ball forms when dripped into cold water.
Cool slighlty.
Stir in cream. Sauce will thicken as it stands.
Can thin with 1 or 2 tablespoons milk or cream if a thinner sauce is desired.
