Eggnog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg yolks
    1/4 c. sugar
    3 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. whipping cream
    6 egg whites
    1/4 c. sugar
    ground nutmeg
Preparation
    In a small mixer bowl, beat egg yolks until blended. Gradually add 1/4 cup sugar, beating at high speed until thick and lemon colored.
    Stir in milk, vanilla and salt.
    Chill thoroughly the whipped cream. Wash beaters well.
